Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using BullionBooks ("the App," "our App," or "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

BullionBooks is a macOS application for tracking precious metals portfolios, including:

  • Transaction recording (purchases and sales)
  • Portfolio analytics and insights
  • Tax reporting and optimization tools
  • Real-time precious metals pricing
  • Cost basis tracking and lot management

License Grant

Subscription Plans

BullionBooks is available through subscription plans:

  • Free Trial: 14-day trial with full access to all features
  • Base Plan: $99/year
  • Pro Plan: $199/year

Plan features, limits, and details are shown in the BullionBooks application. Features may change over time.

License Terms

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees:

  • We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App
  • License is valid for the duration of your active subscription
  • One license per user; commercial use requires separate licensing
  • You may install the App on multiple Macs you personally own

Restrictions

You may not:

  • Share your license key with others
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
  • Use the App for illegal purposes or in violation of applicable laws
  • Attempt to circumvent license validation or subscription requirements

Payments and Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed annually in advance
  • Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers
  • All fees are in U.S. dollars and non-refundable except as required by law

  • Tax calculations and reports are estimates based on information you provide
  • We are not accountants, tax advisors, or financial professionals
  • Consult qualified professionals for tax and financial advice
  • We are not liable for any tax consequences or financial decisions you make
  • You are solely responsible for accurate record-keeping and tax compliance

Disclaimers and Warranties

AS-IS BASIS: THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
  • We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access, errors, third-party services, or your tax/financial decisions

Termination

You may terminate your subscription at any time by cancelling through the Stripe Customer Portal. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
